Social Media Video for Mattel and Chevrolet

In 2013, after the viral success of A Toy Train in Space, Mattel hired me to create a social media marketing video with my family and their beloved Train, Thomas. The video was for an upcoming partnership between Mattel and Chevrolet, which wanted to attract young families to the new 2014 Equinox.

I partnered with Left Coast Digital to shoot the video over four days. From there, I handled the editing and many hours of animation. I also fabricated an underwater tidepool scene with Thomas briefly being greeted by a live crab.

Before I could finish the project, the partnership between the two companies dissolved. I attained permission to use the video in my portfolio and on social media with the company logos removed. The video earned 3.8 million views on my personal YouTube channel.
